This is why my vision of opening a Mental Health Home in Belize is so important. The aim is to create a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment where individuals can speak openly about their challenges and receive compassionate care without fear of judgment. As a Mental Health First Aider, I am trained to recognise the early signs of mental health challenges, provide initial support, and listen with empathy and understanding. My role is not to replace professional treatment but to act as a bridge — helping individuals feel heard while guiding them toward the appropriate professional support when needed.
